Marie Yuann, L.Ac. is a California state board licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master's degree from Emperor's College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, California. She received further training in China in the outpatient acupuncture department of Beijing University Shenzhen Hospital under Professor Ju Yanli. While in China, she saw a high volume of patients with a variety of conditions, such as pain, infertility, insomnia, obesity, stroke, and paralysis.
Marie specializes in pain management and women's health. Among the conditions she commonly treats are back pain, neck pain, headaches, PMS, painful menstruation, infertility, digestive irregularities, depression and anxiety. She uses a variety of modalities including acupuncture, herbal formulas, nutrition, exercise, gua sha, cupping, acupressure, ear acupuncture, and facial acupuncture to achieve the desired results. Each treatment is a customized, holistic approach to address the health needs and goals of the individual. Chinese medicine works by treating the root underlying cause of the symptoms, and thus addresses the source of the imbalance.
In addition, she offers a cosmetic acupuncture series to address fine lines, wrinkles, scarring, acne, jowels, and overall skin tone. She also offers a 10-week weight loss program which involves a comprehensive approach including acupuncture, proper nutrition, herbal support, and exercise.
Marie currently serves as a Technical Supervisor at Emperor's College Clinic and offers private and group medical qi gong instruction.
